Exciting News - A few GV Middle School 8th graders Short Story Selected for Publication!

Mrs. Nick is thrilled to share some exciting news about a few of her 8th grade students' recent achievements in her CP English class.
All the students participated in a short story writing project, and she is delighted to inform the GV Community that some of their stories have been selected for publication by Young Writers, a reputable organization that promotes and celebrates young authors.

Grand Valley Local School District invites you to a special event recognizing the Class of 2025 and 2037!
Please join us at 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 15th at the GV Stadium to witness little steps turning into big strides.
Our kindergarten class will be sending off our seniors with a special message while our seniors will be passing on a “cap” to our littles.
This event will be followed by lunch for both the seniors and kindergarten students.
Kindergarteners are asked to dress in Grand Valley themed attire/ colors.
Families are welcome and encouraged to sit in the stands and cheer on these amazing students.

Grand Valley High School is proud to announce the 2025 induction class into the school's athletic hall of fame.
This year's induction class includes Ed Pawlowski (Class of 1993), Steve Smith (Class of 1998), Bonnie Gargas Rojas (Class of 1999) and contributor Bill Nevison.
Induction weekend will be Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13. The hall of fame class will be introduced between the junior varsity and varsity games of the Dec. 12 boys basketball game between Grand Valley and Pymatuning Valley.
The official induction will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13 in the school's auditorium, with social beginning at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony.
Pawlowski was a multi-sport athlete who lettered three times in football, three times in basketball and three times in baseball. He was part of the 1992 football team that went 10-0.
Smith was a three-year starter for the Grand Valley football team and anchor of the offensive line that helped the Mustangs to state-playoff appearances in 1996 and 1997. Smith also participated in basketball and track.
Rojas set program records in the shot put (37-2 1/2) and discus (128-5) that still stand today. She was a state-qualifier in the shot put and former league MVP and academic all-Ohioan in track.
Nevison coached youth basketball for more than 25 years, youth soccer for more than 15 years, was a athletic boosters member for more than 15 years and also filmed basketball games and ran the clock at games in his career.
