GVMS 2020-2021 School Supplies list.

This message is for Grand Valley Elementary Families.

We have created a "Safe Return to School” Task Force and will meet this week to work on logistics of returning to school.
There will be a plan drafted and available as soon as possible to all.
We want to return to full capacity and normal but most likely we have ES students here much of the week, MS/HS students will have a brick and mortar schooling combined with a distance learning model. This is all to increase social distancing and be as safe as possible.
For those parents who definitely do not want their children in school, we will accommodate them with a distance learning model so they can still be a Grand Valley student and return when they are comfortable.
Have a good week and we will update you with the plan asap.

All,
Today's press conference indicates that the Governor will outline return to school guidelines on Thursday. Once we get those, the superintendents plan to meet with the local health departments and we will put together our return to school plan. I will let you all know as soon as I can as I am eager to create our return plan and roll it out to all. Have a good day!

Good Evening. This is Dr. Nye and I want to let everyone know that we are sending out an electronic “intent to return to school” tomorrow form for all Grand Valley families to fill out. We hope to return to school as normal as we can. We know the best education is a traditional education where all the kids are here and have all the extracurricular activities available to them.
However, we will be facing many health guidelines and there will be challenges. We will make sure each student has a device next year so if we have to modify our format, they will be successful. We know some parents have students with health risks and we will have programs to meet all student and parent needs.
We need each family to fill out the “intent to return to school” form so we can properly prepare for teaching spaces, technology needs, transportation adjustments, food service adjustments and extracurricular activities. We are excited to have every student return this fall and get back to our normal school setting as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Grand Valley is using Parchment to make ordering transcripts easier for you. It's more efficient & will deliver your transcripts to the colleges you choose in the preferred format. Note that it may take a week to process. https://www.parchment.com/u/registration/19397/account

Attention High School Students:
Due to orders still coming in, Mr.Dawson has extended the yearbook order deadline. Next week is the last week to order! Please get your money and order form to the school by Friday, June 12th. Please drop it off in the main entrance foyer, M-F, from 9am-8pm.
Thank you!

The MS Library is missing 85 books worth $756! Please return library books to the MS Office as soon as possible. Thank you!

Grand Valley High School Students and Families:
Please be sure to return textbooks and novels that were sent home during this time. We have a lot of novels out from Mrs. Moore’s class that needs to be returned.
Please note, that final report cards will not be sent home if your child owes fees or has textbooks and/or novels at home.
These books can be returned between the hours of 7am and 8pm, M-F, until June 8th in the main-entrance foyer. Please leave them on the HS table marked with your students name.
Thank you!

Dont forget! Tonight is the showing!

A message for Grand Valley Elementary Families.

From the GV Food Service Department:

Mrs. Pinto and Mrs. Rowland (Choir Booster President) delivered gifts to the Choir Seniors. In a normal year, the juniors purchase gifts for the choir seniors. This year, the Boosters purchased the gifts, and we really enjoyed hand delivering to each one of them!
