Grand Valley Local Schools - Health & Wellness Letter from the Superintendent

September 8, 2021

GRAND VALLEY,

We have been monitoring some staff and student illness in the schools.  So far, there has been no need to quarantine.

Currently, we are still very strongly recommending masks indoors.  If there were to be someone in school with a case of active Covid, then contact tracing will commence and people will get quarantined by regulations dictated by our health department.  The Ohio Department of Health does not require someone that has been exposed to Covid to be quarantined, if they do not have symptoms and were wearing a mask at the time of the exposure.

Please be aware that if we feel there is Covid in a school or any of the schools, we may implement an indoor mask mandate until we feel it is safer to make it optional at a later date.

I want to thank everyone for being flexible and working in these uncertain times during this pandemic.  I know it makes things more difficult in every way.  If at any time a student feels ill and has symptoms that align with Covid, please stay home and seek testing.  Our goal is to keep kids in school as much as we safely can.  Thank you and enjoy Autumn.
