Red Ribbon Week 10/23-10/27

Beginning October 23rd is Red Ribbon Week…...this is a week for people to unite and take a visible stand against drugs and to make a commitment to live a positive and healthy lifestyle…..the National theme this year is…..Your Future is KEY, so stay DRUG FREE!

Red Ribbon Week was established as a national awareness campaign in 1988 to honor a Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique Camarena who was killed in the line of duty.  

We will not only be learning facts and showing our commitment to a drug free life, but we will also be having fun with contests and prizes.


The dress up days are as follows for the HS and MS:

  • Monday….”Shade out Drugs!”......Wear Sunglasses

  • Tuesday….”Team Up Against Drugs!”.....Wear your favorite sport’s team apparel

  • Wednesday…..”Sock it to Drugs!”....wear crazy or mismatched socks

  • Thursday…..”Drug Free Is No Sweat!”....wear athletic apparel

  • Friday…..”Your Future Is KEY, So Stay Drug Free!”

           .....wear red for the Red Ribbon National Slogan

  • Tuesday….”Team Up to stay healthy!”.....Wear your favorite sport’s team apparel

  • Wednesday…..”Sock it to unhealthy habits!”....wear crazy or mismatched socks

  • Thursday…..”Focus on being active for 60 min/day”....wear athletic apparel

  • Friday….."Make healthy choices!"
