October 12, 2020

Students, Parents, Staff and Community Members:

On October 19, 2020, we will start the second quarter of our 2020-2021 school year.  At this point of the year, we are going to have our grades 6-12 students, who are on the current hybrid schedule (Cohort A and Cohort B), now report physically four (4) days a week.  These students will be expected to report on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  It is our hope that many of our online learning challenges will be resolved for students attending on campus.  On Wednesdays, we will be deep cleaning our facility, and our staff will be dedicated to working with students online.

Upon return to the school building, we will have classrooms set up with social distancing that has been approved by our local Health Department and is in compliance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.  Any classroom that has a large student population will be moved to a larger classroom space that can accommodate the requirements of local health codes and CDC guidelines.  We are excited to increase student/teacher contact time, remain safe, and better educate our children.  The schedule of our K-5 students will remain as it has been since the start of the school year.

This year we will have many changes.  Unfortunately, as we continue throughout the year, we will most likely experience more adjustments.  I know change is challenging, but at this time, it is often inevitable.  We have to remain safe, follow the Health Department/CDC guidelines, and deliver the best learning experience we can in our given situation.

Thank you for your patience in these challenging times.
