Good Monday Morning Grand Valley Elementary kids and families!

This is Dr. Winer and I hope you are all well and that you had a very Happy Easter holiday.

A few things I wanted to make you aware of.

First of all, this morning from 11:00-1:00, The Cleveland Food Bank and Country Neighbor will team up and hold a Food Bank in the parking lot of the Field House, also known as the old Middle School. Please know that food will be there while supplies last so get to the parking lot and follow the parking line up. I know they have a plan for making sure cars are lined up in a safe and controlled way. No need to get out of your cars.

Secondly, we have new work packets primarily for Mrs. Shamp, Kdg, Mrs. Hylton, 3rd and 4th grades today from 1:00-6:00. We still have several packets for Mrs. Mitchell’s students and 2nd grade from last week that need to be picked up.

Please note that we are not starting until 1:00 to avoid conflicting with the food bank.

Next Monday, April 20th, from 1:00-6:00, we will have work packets for grades 1,2 and some 3rd and 4th grade classes. Please be sure to read the instructions from your teacher so you know when to pick up your next packet.

And finally, families, do the best you can to complete this work. We understand the burdens that many of you are facing. Becoming a teacher without any training is difficult at best, especially when you have that very emotional attachment to your learners. We all truly get it. If things get too frustrating, put the work away, go do something that is fun to de-stress and try the work again later or tomorrow. All of our students are in the same boat. Please know you are not alone. Reach out to your teacher or Mrs. Esquivel, Mrs. Fuller or me via email or by calling the school @ 440-805-4545. We are here for you.

Be well and stay safe!
