The Grand Valley Athletic Department has been in communication with Superintendent Dr. Nye along with the coaches most of the day today. The Corona Virus situation seems to be changing by the hour so please check our website for updates. Listed below is the most up to date information as it pertains to the Grand Valley Athletic Department.
Starting tomorrow (Friday 3-13-2020) all GV Athletic scrimmages/contest/practices/open gyms will be canceled until a further notice is given. Please make sure all student athletes along with their parents and/or guardians are signed up for their teams REMIND notification group. The coaches will also be updating their teams as more information is released. The Grand Valley Facilities (Weight Rooms, Track, Baseball Field, Softball Field, Field House) are also closed for all student athletes, their families and staff until further notice.
At this time school is scheduled to resume on April 6th. The Spring Sports Season was set to start on March 28th. No plan has been made as to how the Spring Season will work at the State or school level. The Chagrin Valley Conference is planning on setting up a phone or video conference meeting with all of the Athletic Directors to discuss the options and to come up with a plan to move forward.
