Grand Valley's own Rylee Rogers!
From the Geneva Area Grape Jamboree President:
"She had the distinguished honor of joining me in her official role as Miss Grapette, representing the 60th Annual Geneva Area Grape Jamboree on Channel 19 News in downtown Cleveland. Rylee took part in the taping of the CLE Weekend Show with Jeff Tanchak and Jamie Sullivan, scheduled to air on September 20, 2025. This was not only a rare opportunity, but also a proud moment for our festival and community as Rylee showcased the spirit, tradition, and excellence that the Grape Jamboree has embodied for six decades. She carried herself with grace and did a remarkable job in the spotlight."

Coach Matt Rosati and senior JayAnthony Williams were guests of the Cleveland Browns for the season-opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. They were on the field during pregame warmups and had their names and picture on the scoreboard between the third quarter of the Bengals' 17-16 win.
The appearance was made possible by Grand Valley winning the opener against Brooklyn, which was the Cleveland Browns high school game of the week that week. The winning coach and player of the game - Williams - are invited to a game. Additionally, Grand Valley received $3,000, which will go to the GV Gridiron Club for future expenses.
Also attending the game were Williams' father, Tony, and younger brother, Tony Jr.
"It was a good experience seeing the coaches and the players close up," said Williams, a running back/defensive back, "all the people I watch on TV were up close and in person."
Grand Valley is off to a 2-1 start, though it tasted defeat for the first time on Friday night, 56-28, at the hands of McDonald. It was the first home game of the season for the Mustangs.
McDonald (3-0) jumped on GV from the get-go and led 35-0 after the first quarter. From then on, the Mustangs held a 28-21 advantage, but the damage had already been done by the bigger and more experienced Blue Devils.
"It was a real eye-opener for our guys," Coach Matt Rosati said. "It was a big test and we didn't do well on it, but class isn't over. We've got a lot of time to pick up our grade this season."
Williams scored twice, as did junior running back Luke Giddings. Rosati praised his team for fighting back after the slow start.
"We just couldn't stop them," Rosati said. "We weren't big enough. McDonald is a very impressive team."
Next up is a trip to Windham to face the 0-3 Bombers on Friday night. Rosati said the team will get back to work on Monday to fix mistakes that plagued them against McDonald.
"We're going back to fundamentals," he said. "We're going to be real upbeat about things. We have a lot to play for and a lot to look forward to. You have to play good teams to become a good team. We did that on Friday."
Williams said he and his teammates are intent on getting back on the winning track this week, saying, "we just couldn't mesh things together. It was a tough game, but now we're just focused on being 9-1."
