District Survey Results

Thank you to all of the community members who responded to our transportation survey. The results are in and 78% of you were satisfied with the transportation at Grand Valley Local Schools. Seventy-five percent of those who responded felt their bus drivers were courteous and 90% reported that their bus was always or most of the time on time.

All-Cheer Clinic for Grades 7-12 (Girls & Guys)

Okay BOYS!  If you were at the Pep Rally "or" at the December 30th CAVS game, you can see how cool it is to be a male cheerleader.  Just ask the 4 wrestlers that performed with the high school cheerleaders!  And GIRLS, you will learn a lot & have loads of fun too!  The "two day" All-Cheer Clinic is Wednesday, February 10th and Thursday, February 11th from 2:45-5:45 p.m. at the Elementary School Cafeteria and Stage.  (We realize if you play sports or are involved in extra-curricular activities, but would like to participate in this clinic, you might have a conflict attending the entire All-Cheer practices.  Just let me know your situation and we'll try to make it work out!)

Kohl's Kids Who Care Scholarship Program

Stand-up kids deserve to stand out.  Recognizing kids ages 6-18.  The Kohl's Kids Who Care Scholarship Program recognizes and reward young volunteers who have helped make their communities a better place.

CAVS vs. Raptors (Tuesday, April 6, 2010)

The 7th and 8th Grade Basketball teams have been invited to take part in the Halftime Nike High Five Squad.  This means that after halftime of the Cavs game on April 6th, twenty-five 7th and 8th Grade Mustangs will be on the court to “High Five” the Cavs as they come out to start the second half.

1/4 ANGUS BEEF RAFFLE - GVHS Cheerleaders

The GVHS Cheerleaders will be raffling off a 1/4 Angus Beef (Standard Cut) at the Tuesday, February 16, 2010 Varsity Boys home game between 3rd and 4th quarter.  This is the last home game, so it's also Senior/Parent Night.  Tickets are only 1 for $2.00 "or" 3 for $5.00.  You can buy raffle tickets from the high school cheerleaders at any of the high school boys basketball home games "or" contact Arleen Kovats (Cheerleader Advisor) at the Board Office at (440) 437-6260 Ext. 4.  Winner need not be present.

Senior Citizen passes

For HOME events, Senior Citizens (ages 60 and above who reside in the Grand Valley Local School District) will be admitted FREE to all HOME Grand Valley Athletic Contests with a pass. They may obtain the pass at the Board Office.

2009-2010 Grand Valley School Calendar are here!  For extra copies, you may pick up from the school buildings and the board office.  We try to make sure that there are no discrepancies with events listed, but at times, events get rescheduled or may have a conflict with another.  If you have any questions with an event, please call the school at (440) 437-6260.  I will update the school calendar on our website as events get rescheduled and list the changes below with the revision date.  The web version of the school calendar is grainy, but all the information is listed.  For athletic events and schedule, please go to our Athletic page. Read more »
