Douglas Zetlaw has been a resident of the Grand Valley Local Schools district since 2014, where he and his family have proudly made their home in Hartsgrove. He and his wife have three sons who attend Grand Valley Schools, giving him a strong personal investment in the success of the district and its students.
Douglas has owned and operated his own plumbing contracting company since 2016, earning his Master Plumber and State license credentials through years of hands-on experience and dedication to his trade. Prior to his work in the skilled trades, he served in law enforcement, where he worked as a K-9 officer, SWAT officer, weapons training and tactics officer, and also represented his fellow officers leading the union’s collective bargaining unit.
He is actively involved in coaching youth sports at multiple levels, with his primary focus being that of strength and conditioning. Douglas is an advocate for staying on the leading edge of learning technology while also supporting agriculture and the trades. He is committed to prioritizing student growth both inside and outside the classroom and looks forward to serving on the Board of Education with the goal of always doing what is in the best interest of Grand Valley students and the community as a whole.
