The Ashtabula County Educational Service Center (ACESC) is holding a public meeting on October 10, 2016 at 12:30 PM in the Board Room at the ACESC, 2630 W 13th St., Ashtabula, OH 44004. At this time, the public can comment on the budget for spending federal money on educating handicapped students in the four local school districts of Ashtabula County. These include Buckeye Local, Grand Valley Local, Jefferson Local, and Pymatuning Valley Local.
The individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) funds are to be used for educating students identified with disabilities in providing services, equipment, and materials for these children, as well as staff development opportunities for their teachers. The budget for the four districts total $1,308,153.13 for the 2018-2019 school year.
