Dear Grand Valley Community Member: 

Please join us as we welcome our scholars and teachers back to school and celebrate the possibilities of a new school year.  This year’s SOUPer Bowl / Back to School Tailgate Bash is scheduled for Friday, August 20th, 2021, from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Mustang Stadium.  The Grand Valley Mustangs will kick off against the Jefferson Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Tailgating will start at 4:30 p.m. and stop at kick-off.

To ensure the community-wide event is successful, we would appreciate your partnership with any monetary support or donations you could provide.  Our goal is to "fill the bus" with canned goods and school supplies.  There will be a friendly competition between community members in Grand Valley and Jefferson to see who can collect the most canned goods. The winner of the SOUPer Bowl will be announced at halftime and will be presented with the SOUPer Bowl Trophy.

This community-wide event is a great way to provide valuable services and support to our families throughout the Grand Valley community including; hair cuts, family safety info and strengthening our bond as one community.  Resources that will be provided at this event are important to so many families, and with your support, we can reach many students this year.

Community volunteers are needed to work specific time slots in various areas.  In addition, vendor booths will be available for education-related and community organizations.  In exchange, booths are expected to provide give-away items that relate to the theme of “Mustang GRITT at Home - GRITT at School" (GRITT is our district leadership team acronym for:  “Getting Results In Tough Times”).
