Good afternoon. The Grand Valley Athletic Department is proud to announce its updated Fall Season Athletic Ticket Policy. Thank you for your patience while we navigate all the changes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. You can find a copy of this policy on our website using the link below.
Grand Valley Local Schools COVID-19 Athletic Ticket Sales Policy
Below you will find the updated Grand Valley Athletic Ticket Policy. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic these policies have changed from the normal policies Grand Valley Local Schools posted earlier this year. We ask that everyone be patient during the 2020-2021 athletic season as each school has adopted its own policy. Our goal is to allow as many spectators in to our athletic events as we can manage while maintaining a safe environment for all. The Grand Valley Athletic Department will communicate any changes or updates to this policy to its coaches so they can pass the information along to the players and their families as quickly as possible. Please contact the Grand Valley Athletic Department if you have any questions or for more information. Thank You!
Per Ohio Department Health Order dated August 19, 2020, the maximum number of spectators permitted to gather at an indoor and/or outdoor venue is the lesser of 1,500 or 15% of the fixed seating capacity. Grand Valley Local Schools has worked closely with the Ashtabula County Health Department to come up with and incorporate a plan for all three of its athletic venues. With the implementations of these plans Grand Valley Local Schools was able to increase the number of spectators allowed to attend its athletic contests. Unfortunately, even with the increased capacity, there will still be limits to the number of spectators allowed to attend these contests. We set the priority for these events first for family members and close friends of student athletes and coaches. Most games will still have general admission tickets available at the gate. There are seating guidelines and requirements posted at each athletic facility and the gate attendant will give each spectator instructions as needed.
Sport Specific “Home & Away” Student Athlete and Coaches Tickets Allowance
Below, find information for the number of tickets allotted for each student athlete and coach by level and specific sport for all Home Grand Valley athletic contests. According to our policy we do not charge for middle school and/or junior varsity (played singularly as a junior varsity contest) athletic contests, but please abide by these numbers so we can maintain a safe environment with proper social distancing. A pass list system may be used for these events instead of actual paper or electronic tickets. There may be a possibility the middle school gym may be cleared between 7th and 8th grade volleyball contests to allow all spectators in.

Ticket Prices, Passes and Ticket Purchasing
Home Game Ticket Prices
All ticket prices this year, whether purchased presale or at the gate, are $5.00. Exact change is to be used when purchasing all tickets. To manage the total number of spectators attending each individual athletic contest, tickets will be marked and dated for a specific contest and will only be sold two weeks in advance. There will be no refunds for unused tickets.
Away Game Ticket Prices
As previously mentioned, each school has adopted their own ticket policy for the 2020-2021 athletic season. Some schools will send passes to Grand Valley to distribute to players, some will sell tickets at their gates, and some may not allow spectators. Grand Valley has been working with as many schools as possible and will sell tickets to most away athletic contests. These tickets are also $5.00 and exact change must be used. The tickets will be dated and a picture of the ticket sent to the host school to allow entry into the event.
Passes for League, Staff & Senior Citizens
Grand Valley Local Schools will not accept any passes this year to enter any athletic contest at any point. This rule is in place to make sure the number of spectators are not over the approved limit and social distancing is maintained. This will be enforced by gate workers at each event. Please contact the Athletic Department with any questions (440-805-4190).
Tickets can be purchased for $5.00 at the Grand Valley Athletic Department Office at the times listed below. Student athletes’ and coaches’ allotted tickets will only be held (guaranteed) up to 24hrs before the contest is scheduled to start. The day of the contest, limited tickets will be available for purchase by Grand Valley students and the general public. These tickets may be purchased at the gate. Exact change must be used and there are no refunds for unused tickets!
