GRAND VALLEY REOPEN/RESTART UPDATE!

All,

Yesterday, the Governor issued a state health directive that all students returning to a brick and mortar school setting MUST wear a mask.  Only students with medical or other specific reasons will be exempt from wearing a mask.  There will be times where students will be able to take their masks off like during lunch, to drink and other specific activities.  We have revised our documents on the website to follow those directives.  All revisions will be in green/neon green and each document will have a revision date in green posted on the front.

I want to remind all parents who want to enroll their children strictly online, that they need to do so by accessing the link on our documents.  If you are struggling to do so, please call the building your child would normally attend and someone will assist you in the process.  Strictly online students will be getting the same lesson and curriculum as our brick and mortar students.  They will be taught by teachers here at Grand Valley and will be expected to do their work at the same pace as the students attending on campus.

As of today, all “non-contact” extracurricular activities are functioning normally.  “Contact” extracurricular activities are practicing and can only scrimmage among themselves.  There will be further directives from the Governor’s office and the OHSAA on a regular season later this month.

I want to remind everyone again, that many of the things we plan today can be altered due to the need to be safe for our children, staff and community members.  We will keep you all posted with the latest information as soon as it is announced.  Have a great day!
