With the Grand Valley Local Schools drive thru graduation set for tomorrow (Saturday May 23rd) the reality of not ever returning to the building, as a student, where most of them spent 13 years of their lives is starting to set in. For them this will bring both tears of joy and tears of great sadness! They though will not be the only ones who will be shedding a tear! This is a great time of the year because it brings so many great memories back into the minds of everyone who had the chance to be apart of each of these young adults lives. The Grand Valley Athletic Department and its coaches get a chance to reflect and talk about the senior student athletes each year when they get together to select the female and male winners of the annual "Mustang Award". To earn this award, senior student athletes earn point based on not only their Athletic Abilities but, also Academics Achievements, Leadership Abilities & The GV Sportsmanship Standards. Finalizing this award is always a fun time for the coaches and the department as they get a chance to remember all the good times each of them had with these student athletes over the past four years!

At this time we would like to congratulate this years winners Hallie Soltis and Mason Shreve! These two individuals have both accomplished many great things during their time here at Grand Valley. They both are a great representation of the term "Student Athlete"!
