GVES Weekly Update - April 27-May 1

Hi GVES Kids and Families,

This is Dr. Winer and here is your weekly update.

This is GV Spirit Week and here are our themes:

  • Monday (April 27): Mustang Monday! Wear your favorite Mustang gear to support our GV family.

  • Tuesday(April 28): Hat Day! Hats off to our essential employees!

  • Wednesday (April 29): Wonderful Wednesday! Dress up like people that make you feel wonderful! (Your parents, doctors, scientists, teachers, etc.)

  • Thursday (April 30): WE NEED A VACATION DAY! Dress like you are on a vacation.

  • Friday (May 1): Fancy Friday! Get dressed up fancy to support our juniors and seniors for what would have been Prom Night.

Please take photos and upload by using your GV Google login then:

If you don’t want to do that, just send me your photos and I’ll upload for you: ellen.winer@grandvalley.school

There is No Packet Pick up this week but please, drop off your completed work. Don’t forget to check your teacher’s Remind, Dojo or Google Classroom page daily for news and instructions. Also, remember that Nurse E. has a Remind page where families can get tips on all kinds of things from nutrition, staying physically and emotionally healthy to healthy activities and much more.

Our next packet pick-up will be on Monday, May 4th from 1:00-6:00pm.

Finally, we will be packing up student’s belongings the weeks of May 20-24. We will have a similar pick up as we had for the packets BUT IT WILL BE FROM THE CAFETERIA DOORS INSTEAD OF THE OFFICE DOORS. Stay tuned for more information on that.

Students and Families...we are amazed at the work you are doing and handing in. If you haven’t turned in completed work, you must do so this week. If you need help with the work or getting it in, contact your teacher or me.

I miss you all so much. I was especially sad on the beautiful Saturday we just had because that would have been our Walk-a-thon. But, next year’s Walk-a-thon will be wonderful, too. I’m looking forward to it mostly because I love seeing our kids, families and staff having fun together.

That’s it for now. Stay strong, stay healthy and keep learning.
