General Notes

Ensure that Pop-Up Blockers are turned off.

When you log into PAM, the grade that you see at first is the total average for the student in that class for the YEAR.  In order to see the current grade average, you will need to make some changes to the view.

Please understand that teachers might not enter grades when assignments are first posted.  Therefore, it may appear that your child has not completed an assignment when, in fact, they may have turned in the assignment and the teacher is in the process of grading it or the assignment is not due to be turned in yet. 

How do I see my child’s grade for the current grading period?

  • Click on the Details of the class in question and a new window will appear.
  • In the Reporting Term drop down menu, select the current term (MP1 means 1st marking period; MP2 means 2nd marking period, etc.) and click Display.
  • The current grade will be displayed on the bottom left corner of the screen.

What attendance information is available?

A parent can see which days their child has been marked absent as well as the reason recorded by the office for each absence and whether the absence is excused or unexcused.

How will I receive my User Name and Password?

  • For the students: 1st period teacher will distribute user names and passwords when available.
  • For the parents/guardians: You will receive an e-mail or letter in the mail with your user name and password.

What if I didn’t receive notification of my User Name and Password?

  • Are your child’s/children’s school fees paid?  Access to Parent Assist is denied if your child’s school fees are not paid.
  • Have you requested an account?  Forms are available in the school office or on the Parent Portal link.
  • If you have further questions about not receiving a user name and password, please e-mail marla.mullenax@neomin.org or call (440) 437-6260, extension 4. When e-mailing, please be sure to include all of your children’s names that are enrolled in Grand Valley Schools along with their date of birth and your home address.  You must include your first and last name.

A special note about e-mailing – if you do not receive a response within 2 days, please call. Your e-mail may be blocked by our spam filters.  We thank you for your understanding.
